Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs
The O2 Bubble, London
Thu, 22nd November 2007 - Sat, 30th August 2008
From £15.00*

Marking the first time the treasures of Tutankhamun have visited London in over 30 years, an extensive exhibition of more than 130 artifacts from the tomb of the celebrated Pharaoh and other Valley of the Kings ancestors visits London on 15 November 2007. London is the only European city to host the treasures. Featured treasures in the exhibit, which are all between 3,300 and 3,500 years old, include Tutankhamun’s royal diadem - the gold crown discovered encircling the head of the king’s mummified body that he likely wore while living - and one of the gold and precious stone inlaid coffinettes that contained his mummified internal organs. Don’t miss the most highly anticipated exhibition in London history in Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs. Presented by credit Suisse. EXCLUSIVE TUTANKHAMUN OYSTER CARD! Transport for London (TfL) has teamed up with the organisers of the ’Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs’ exhibition to create an iconic limited edition Visitor Oyster Card. The exhibition is coming to The O2 venue this November, and the special edition card will feature an image of the boy king Tutankhamun. The new cards work in the same way as a regular pay as you go Visitor Oyster Card, offering the lowest fares available on buses, trams, tube and Docklands Light Railway. They are only available in conjunction with tickets to the show, and will be pre-loaded with £10 pay as you go, ready to use on the system for passengers as soon as they arrive in the capital. The new cards are part of TfL’s plans to ensure visitors to London have access to the cheaper fares options available with Oyster. By making the cards easy to obtain before a passenger arrives in London it saves them time on queuing for tickets and leaves them more time to enjoy their stay. The cards can be topped up with extra value if needed and can be re-used for further visits. USING A VISITOR OYSTER CARD • The cards are sold with an initial £10 balance on them to pay as you go • Available at adult-rate only • They can be topped up with additional money to pay as you go at all standard outlets at Tube stations, Oyster Ticket Stops and London Travel Information Centres • They cannot be loaded with 7 Day or other period Travelcards
