Belfast was built around the River Lagan. This beautiful city centre river is one of the city’s most underused treasures. The guided River Lagan tour explores the upper reaches of the river as it wends its way from Stranmillis, where Henry Joy McCracken and the United Irishmen once gathered at the famous Molly Ward’s Lock, to the Lagan Weir which separates the upper Lagan reaches from Belfast Harbour and has had a major impact on the redevelopment of the Lagan in recent years. Witness the river’s transformation and development as Belfast moves into the 21st Century. Tour Schedule: Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday @ 12:30pm, 2pm @ 3:30pm. In the winter season the tour only operates at weekends. Running Time: 75 minutes.
