Alan Bennett’s The History Boys is to finally receive a West End transfer - two years after it first opened at the National Theatre. The multi award-winning play is to run at the Wyndham’s Theatre from December 21 for a 17-week season. It marks the culmination of the production’s second UK tour. Featuring Stephen Moore as Hector, Isla Blair as Mrs Lintott, William Chubb as the Headmaster and Orlando Wells as Irwin, the play opens as the film version of the original production, with the original cast, opens in UK cinemas. The History Boys is produced in the West End by the NT and National Angels. It is directed by Nicholas Hytner and recreated by Simon Cox.
